For Parents of College-Bound Seniors and Parents of College Students
Congratulations! Sending your child off to college is a key milestone for you and your family. Undoubtedly, you've put a great deal of time and energy into getting this far. College-bound students and their families undergo a variety of feelings before setting foot on campus, including excitement, joy, confusion, sadness, and sheer terror. This parenting workshop will help you and your family make a successful and less stressful transition into this new lifecycle stage.
The workshop will help you with the tough task of promoting independence in your son or daughter while staying emotionally connected.
Learn strategies for your new parenting role with your out-of-the-house or college-commuting adult child. You will gain insights into the challenges students face during their college years and develop ways to promote confidence and competence in your college-bound son or daughter.
The workshop will focus on your child and family's transition, but is also a time to focus on yourself. You will begin developing your own success plan, with new personal and interpersonal goals. This is an exciting new stage in your life too!
