Student Coaching

For High School Seniors and College Students

Dr. Nardo offers individualized coaching sessions (in her office or by phone) to ease students' transition to college life and to promote a worthwhile college experience.  In two to five sessions, Dr. Nardo helps students develop a system to manage their time, relationships, and finances.

First, students are provided with individual inventories and assessment measures  to identify their strengths, creative talents, motivations and interests.  This process often helps students gain a stronger sense of personal identity, self-confidence, and future direction.

Each student is also given a copy of the resource, The Ultimate Organizer for College Life, created by Dr. Susan Orenstein.   Dr. Nardo guides students through the organizer, helping them develop personal goals and practical strategies to avoid common college traps e.g., credit card debt, procrastination, homesickness, freshman 15, and beer/peer pressure.

Students who have participated in coaching sessions gain ongoing support as well as the confidence, organizational skills, and communication strategies needed to truly thrive during their college years.

Dr. Susan Orenstein offers psycho-educational workshops for students to help them prepare for college life.  Read what people are saying about about Dr. Orenstein's Workshops on the testimonials page.
