- Behavior Problems
- Depression
- Substance Abuse
- School Difficulties, including Academic, Social and Behavioral Difficulties
- Child-Parent Conflicts
- Organizational Skills Difficulties (Read more)
- Coping with Chronic Health Conditions (e.g., cancer, diabetes, epilepsy)
- Adjustment Issues (e.g., death of a loved one, re-location, parent’s divorce, going to college)
If your child or teen is struggling with these issues, we would be glad to provide you with a consultation. In this initial consultation, we gather background information, learn about you and your child’s concerns, and help you and your family to develop a treatment plan. We often recommend children/teens attend regularly scheduled therapy sessions, with parental involvement, where we teach our clients new coping skills to manage their mood and behavior. We also gladly work with other professionals (e.g., teachers, psychiatrists, pediatricians, occupational therapists) to ensure that your child/teen has a cohesive, support team.
