We recognize that entering therapy involves an investment of time, money and most importantly emotional energy. Most clients seek therapy to alleviate emotional distress and to improve their everyday functioning. Many of our clients have never been in therapy before. Some of our clients who have had previous treatment found the process frustrating and unclear.
Our goal is to help clients experience rapid relief of suffering, while developing new insights and new ways of handling situations that will help them have more joyful, fulfilling lives. We want to help you get these results as quickly as possible, while also supporting you along the way.
At Orenstein Solutions, you will always be treated with compassion, sensitivity and respect. You will also reap the benefits of our experienced, well-trained psychologists.
All the psychologists at Orenstein Solutions:
- Have Earned Doctoral-level Degrees (Ph.D.s) and are licensed psychologists in the state of N.C.
- Have Advanced Post-Doctoral Training in our specialty areas and are at the top of their field in skill and talent.
- Value your Input and Feedback. We recognize your contribution in the therapy process is invaluable. We are the experts in the treatment process, while you are the expert in your own experience. We encourage you to share your preferences, needs and feelings about your therapist and the treatment process.
- Are Accessible and Convenient. We have daytime, evening and Saturday office hours to make therapy convenient for you. We also have offices in Cary and Chapel Hill so you can get services nearby your home or office.
- Believe in Accountability to You. We will help you develop a road map for success by creating identifiable, concrete, practical goals and ways to track your progress. We hope to be your navigator through those times in your life when you’re feeling lost.
- Do What Works. One definition of “insanity” is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results. We are committed to helping you achieve results, and will modify our approach until we find what works for you. We are guided by therapeutic frameworks (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), yet also incorporate a massive dose of pragmatism into all our work, searching for methods that will fit with your needs and your pace.
- Offer Effective Solution-Focused Therapy. The days of long-term psychoanalytic therapy, when a client lies on a coach and freely associates for weeks and years are over. We know your time, money and energy are valuable, so we help you identify clear and manageable goals, and see results as soon as possible. Many of our clients receive short term treatment (6 – 20 sessions). Some of our clients choose longer-term care to address multiple issues and receive ongoing support. Regardless, we do help all our clients identify and work towards accomplishing meaningful goals.
- Believe in Your Resiliency. After years of experience, we know that much of what contributes to personal and interpersonal change comes from our clients’ own inner strengths, coping mechanisms, and talents. We will help you identify and develop these resources while also teaching you additional skills to add to your emotional repertoire.
- Take an Active Role. Although all our therapists are good listeners, we do more than just listen. We listen for solutions, as we actively provide you with feedback, help you discover your own blind spots, make suggestions, and give take-home assignments to help you make progress in and out of the therapy office.
- Seek Professional Growth. We obtain continuing education credits each year in the area of our specialty to stay current on the research and innovations in treatment.
